I am growing my knowledge of crystals and when someone asked me about crystals used for grounding, I approached our locals to write an article about them so we could all learn a little together…
Thanks go out to Andre and Antoinette who run Enchanted Earth in Bothas Hill for this information
Crystals for Grounding energies
Being grounded is all about being connected to the planet, being centred within our bodies and receiving energy from the earth like the roots of a tree. It provides a sense of calm and having enjoyment in engaging with the world around us. Being grounded helps us make better decisions. We behave authentically and we own our power.
However, we become unsettled for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to too much junk food, too much sugar and caffeine, not enough sleep, stress, trauma, or being exposed to or dealing with unbalanced people.
Crystals can help ground us again. Hold it in your hand, put it in your pocket or wear as jewellery.
Smoky Quartz:- One of the best stones for grounding, it is a superb antidote to stress. It improves one’s survival instinct, enhances mental ability and helps one to stay in the present moment.
Black Tourmaline: – A gentle but fast grounding stone. Protects against electromagnetic smog and all kinds of negative energy.
Hematite:– Harmonises mind body and spirit, grounding and balancing energies and it also enhances mental capabilities.
Onyx:- Is strength giving and helps to concentrate more clearly. It provides support in confusing circumstances.
Kyanite:- Grounds spiritual vibrations and it brings spiritual integrity.
Black Obsidian:- Establishes and maintains a connection to the earth and helps to integrate spiritual lessons. It increases self- control.
