Who said being spiritual meant you could only embody love?

So this week I got into trouble for not being the perfect spiritual example. When I say I got into trouble I was told that I am a filthy disgusting person, on a path of destruction who hurts everything in her path, and this from someone who has life coaching on their price card.

SA Blog Awards – time to vote for 8ight

Hi everyone,

I am so bad at promoting myself… there’s a distinct eeeeeeek screeching in my head as I am typing this…

So what I am going to do is get straight to it…

I have been nominated in the Spiritual Blog category for the SA Blog Awards.

I would really love it if you voted for me…

This is how it works:

All you have to do is click on the red voting button on the top left side of 8ight blog…. (for those on mobile scroll to the bottom of the blog and click on “full site” and the button will show up in the left hand column)

This will take you through to the SA Blog Awards site and your vote will automatically be entered. You will then be sent a confirmation email, which you have to respond to in order to confirm your vote.

You can only vote for one blog per category…

The public vote phase will run from Tuesday, 1st December 2015 @ 00:00 until Monday, 8th January 2016 @ 23:59

Thank you for your support and kindness during 2015 – it has been an amazing EIGHT year!

… and thank you in advance to each of you who clicked and voted xxx

Love, light and blessings

“I’ve come to realise that the only people I need in my life are the ones who need me in theirs even when I have nothing else to offer them but myself”

So True.

So many people aren’t willing to share their day or week, their ups and downs but they want to ask about yours.

It makes me feel like I’m only a source of “skinner” for them and that I am not as important as their words say I am.

To me words just aren’t enough.

If you love someone – you show them.
You don’t love someone and talk behind their back or lie to them. You don’t love someone and share their private conversations.

“Pure love has no conditions or boundaries. Love does not restrain itself or hold back. Love gives all the time and doesn’t ask for anything in return. Love is a continuous flow without any limits. And all of this is inside you”.~ Rhonda Byrne – The Secret

Love is understanding.

Difficulties aren’t partial to a specific age or time. On this earth their are babies with Leukaemia. No one can say their suffering is more difficult than an elderly person with the same disease.

There are abused babies, children, women, men, even animals aren’t immune from the evils of humans.
What I am trying to say here is that when you love someone you try to understand even if you cannot comprehend the magnitude of their suffering.

And you certainly don’t make them feel worse by making them feel like their suffering is inconveniencing you.

When you love someone you make the best of the situation that is thrown at you.

When you love someone you try to understand that their life needs to grow and mould just like yours does. You have to let a person fulfil their dreams.

You can hold a person in your heart even if you don’t see them.

Being hurt by someone – sometimes doesn’t make you love them less.

Love is a strange emotion.

Love is not forceful. Love does not exclude, it includes, it grows. Love doesn’t pick or choose qualities. Love, loves despite imperfections.

Love doesn’t see beauty as the eyes see it. Love feels beauty from the soul.

The feeling of love isn’t superficial – love is the spiritual essence of innocence.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

New International Version (NIV)

“4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

Love always perseveres
